Why Should I Pray Now?
ARTICLE SUMMARY

Lightning flashed as the thunder rolled down the valley.  Large drops of rain began to fall, and the ground began to shake.  In a moment, the curtain of the sanctuary was torn in half, and that was the end of life for Jesus.

Jesus was killed because he desired to care for you and I.  Why do we not hear His voice inside of us, telling us ‘it is going to be ok’?

Dealing with end of life issues you may not be ready to read this – skip this if you are not.

Now, when facing the end of life for a loved one, is when we need to pray more than any other time in our lives.

Our prayers will give us and our loved one strength to do what we must.  All prayers at the end of life are extremely important, and for that, even with a silent response, we must try to trust in Him and have faith.

Why Pray Now?
  • All our prayers are lifted to heaven, and are heard by God.
  • Often God’s silence is saying “peace my daughter, I am with you”.
  • Prayer gives us strength and peace for the fight ahead.
  • Encourage visits from pastors, priests and those who can help your loved one gain strength for the end of life battle.
In Acts 14 the apostles of Christ prayed “Lord… as you stretch forth your hand to heal” the place shook and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.  Open yourself to Him, and have faith that your prayers are heard.

Lightning flashed, as the thunder rolled down the valley.  Large drops of rain began to fall, and the ground began to shake.  In a moment, the curtain of the sanctuary was torn in half, and the whole world discovered that they had just killed the son of God.  Jesus was killed because of his faith – because he desired to care for you and I, to forgive our sins and to lead us to belief in him, to trust in him.  When we pray in our anguish, tears and pleadings, facing the end of life for someone near and dear to us, why is He silent?  Why do we not hear His voice inside of us, telling us it is going to be ok?

Prayer is communication with God.  Our prayers are lifted to heaven, and are heard by God.  Why at times does he not answer?  You may not be ready to read this, you may need to skip this section until you are ready – go ahead if you need to skip this, it will be here for you when you are ready.

Often God’s silence is saying “peace my daughter, I am with you – even though you do not hear me, or see me”.  Christ’s peace may be coming to us, but in our pain, anguish and tears we may not be able to feel it.  This does not mean that it is not there.  Remember, not a hair from our head falls to the ground without God knowing it.

Facing the end of life for a loved one – or even ourselves, as we always do when someone close to us is dying – is when we need to pray more than any other time in our lives.  Our prayers will give us strength to do what we must.  Our prayers will give our loved one strength to do what they must.  Just because we do not hear an answer does not mean they are not heard.  All prayers are heard, but all prayers at the end of life are extremely important, and for that, even with a silent response, we must try to trust in Him and have faith.
